Description: Yoga Nidra, also known as yogic sleep, begins with gentle and restorative postures that begin to tap into the parasympathetic nervous system. Students are guided through a rotation of consciousness, breath awareness and imagery meant to move their minds between wakefulness and sleep to a state of deep conscious awareness. It is said to relax the body and mind, help with insomnia, reduce stress and anxiety to name a few benefits.
