Class Styles

 

PearlFlow

PearlFlow is Yoga Pearl’s signature vinyasa format. This mind-body practice moves as a wave, starting with a deep breathing, a grounded warm up, transitioning into a flow of standing postures. Once familiar with the postures you'll flow, breath-to-movement, peaking at fun and challenging balancing postures. The wave will take you into a blissful and connected cool down. The intention of this practice is to remove blockages in the body and mind, opening you up to endless possibility. This class moves and is taught as a truly ALL levels class.

Heated PearlFlow

Our signature vinyasa flow class but heated to 90° fahrenheit. This mind-body practice moves as a wave, starting with a deep breathing, a grounded warm up, transitioning into a flow of standing postures. Once familiar with the postures you'll flow, breath-to-movement, peaking at fun and challenging balancing postures. The wave will take you into a blissful and connected cool down. The intention of this practice is to remove blockages in the body and mind, opening you up to endless possibility. This class moves and is taught as a truly ALL levels class.

SlowFlow

Slow flow is a mellow vinyasa practice that connects movement to breath in a sequence of yoga poses. Expect this class to include both moments of challenging flow and longer more restorative postures. This class was designed to take care of the body for increased functionality and joy! The goal of this practice is to potentiate personal and communal well-being. Every class is designed to be accessible for all levels.

 

Yin

The practice of yin yoga offers you the opportunity to balance the active and external yang energy with the passive and internal yin energy. You will be guided through a series of floor-based poses (held 3-5 minutes) which targets the deeper connective tissue, including ligaments, joints and fascia. Using the support of props, active relaxation of muscles is encouraged, as you find your way into a gentle meditation.Perfect for the day that you want to sustain awesome energy or need to relax your busy mind! All levels welcomed.

Restorative Yoga

A nice counterpoint to our busy lives, Restorative yoga or “conscious relaxation” is a practice which allows your mind and body a chance to rest, reset and recharge. The poses require little to no effort while many are supported by props, first stimulating the body then restoring your entire being back to a more balanced functioning state. Meditation woven into the practice challenges the mind to let go, furthering a state of rest and relaxation.

Hatha

Hatha yoga is a system of health derived from a larger body of whole-being wellness and science. By itself, Hatha includes three distinct yet coexisting practices. The first being Asanas (postures) that help us understand yoga through the experience of the body and restore and promote balance and physical health. Asanas in this class are practiced for their function, the effect they have on the body, rather than their form, the aesthetic shape. Pranayama (breathwork) tones the nervous system and manipulates prana, the vital force that nourishes both body and mind. Dhyana (meditation) is a state of being that brings clarity and a sense of uninterrupted peace and unity to the mind. The resulting effect of these three practices is a deep understanding of how our body, mind, and spirit are interwoven, cultivating an even deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of everything. All classes will offer variations of asanas so that the practice is accessible and inclusive for every level.

 

SoulFlow

Start your Sunday with mind-body connection and lots of Soul Music. Similar to our signature PearlFlow, this mind-body practice moves as a wave, starting with deep breathing and a grounded warm up then transitioning into a flow of standing postures. Once familiar with the postures you will flow breath-to-movement, peaking at fun and challenging balancing postures. The wave will carry you into a blissful and connected cool down and savasana. The intention of this practice is to remove blockages in the body and mind, opening you up to endless possibility. This class moves and is taught as a truly ALL level class.

FunFlow

Similar to our signature PearlFlow but with the addition of three chances to move on your own; taking the flow we did as a group, adding things in, taking things out or taking time to rest! This is your hour! This class is an ALL level class.

 

Baby + Me

This class focuses on strengthening the bond between parent and child. Using interactive, slow-moving postures, this class is also a wonderful way to connect with other new parents, and to help the postpartum body recover from birth and the strains of carrying and caring for a newborn. We'll practice yoga poses geared towards rebuilding strength and flexibility, while also playing with our babies through infant massage, song and partner poses.

Appropriate for parents and infants 5 weeks and older, the class is not overly strenuous, but we recommend getting your doctor or midwife's approval prior to practicing yoga postpartum.

Please bring a receiving blanket and optional baby wearing carrier for your baby to lay on and be worn during class

Prenatal

Pregnancy is a beautiful time to explore changes in the body and connect with others going through this great transition. Suitable for any stage of pregnancy, this class involves movement, breath awareness, and relaxation.

 

Intro to Kettlebells

Intro to Kettlebells is our beginner class and we suggest taking 1-2 of these classes before moving into our Kettlebell Classes. In this class you will learn how to correctly and safely hold, swing and interact with your kettlebell.  You will be introduced to common positions, actions and circuit moves that will be used during our classes.
Shoes are not required.

Kettlebells

In this 30-minute class you will be instructed through a few circuits of common kettlebell movements.  Classes are quick but give you a full body workout.
Shoes are not required.
